Our Mission: Missions Through Unity

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." John 17: 20-23

We believe that unity in the body of Christ is, and needs to be, the main catalyst for missions. The synergy created through Kingdom partnerships is both invaluable and necessary to God’s mission in our world today.
We therefore seek to serve as a platform to bring churches and Christian organizations, who have a shared investment in making disciples of those in the 10/40 window, together give glory to God through our unity but to also do better work than we could ever do alone.

Our Vision: To be a base camp for missions to the 10/40 window

What is a "base camp for missions", anyway?

When summiting a mountain, there needs to be a base camp for expeditions to acclimate, rest, and restock supplies.

Footstool exists to serve as a base camp to reach the 'summit' of the 10/40 Window. We serve by being a platform for networking and offering missionary care, training, and outreach opportunities.

Our aim is to serve and bring together all involved in 10/40 Window work—long-term missionaries, organizations, local churches, and those interested in getting involved in missions.

What is the 10/40 Window?

The 10/40 Window is the area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia 10 and 40 degrees latitude north of the equator, bordered by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Roughly two-thirds of the world’s population lives in the 10/40 Window but upwards of 90% of those people are considered unreached by the Gospel.

The 10/40 Window is home to the majority the world’s unevangelized countries.

Why South Korea?

South Korea is located in the 10/40 Window and is distinctively Christian.

South Korea has experienced an era of explosive evangelical growth in the past century and today South Korea is the world’s second largest missionary-sending nation.

South Korea is uniquely positioned as a launching point for the gospel into Asia, as a stable nation in the region and a country with low levels of government restrictions on religion and low levels of social hostility towards religion.

Our Values: Synergy, Servanthood, Stewardship

Synergy: Multiplying resources by working together
Servanthood: Commitment to serve and not be served
Stewardship: Pursuit of excellence compelled by the love of Christ

We believe that God has revealed Himself in the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the centrality of Scripture, both Old and the New Testaments, as the infallible and inspired Word of God.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ.

We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church in accordance to the Lausanne Covenant.
