Footstool offers courses that equip people to live the missional life,
which is living out your faith in the context of everyday life.

We also offer courses that assist people prepare for both short-term and long-term missions work.

Through Footstool, field workers currently serving in Asia can get relevant training in
cultural adaptation, theology and practical ministry methods.

Basic Missions Training (BMT)

Designed for individuals and teams whoa re going out to do short term missions for the first time. Course content includes: theological and Biblical basis for missions, history of missions, missions strategies, spiritual warfare, contextualization and cultural issues, team dynamics and unity.

8 hours (can be spread over several days or weeks or done in intensive format).

Long Term Missions Training

Aimed for those going to serve overseas long term who desire formal training before departing for the field. This course is designed to help outgoing missions have a strong Biblical and theological foundation for their work as well as give them practical tools to thrive on the mission field in all areas of wellness. Course content includes: spiritual disciplines, theological and Biblical concepts pertinent to long term missions, stress, self care and sabbath and processing losses and goodbyes.

24 hours, split into 12 modules. Format and pace can be modified for trainees specific needs and schedule.
