Summer Missions Recap: Testimonies

This summer, Footstool trained and sent four teams to serve in various locations across Northeast Asia. The teams were comprised of members from different churches, backgrounds, and personalities. Check out the testimonies below to get a glimpse into our trips!

Great trip! Great team! Such a privilege going into one of the remotest countries of the world, seeing and interacting with the beautiful people and the beautiful land. We had the opportunity to see things on the surface and, by God’s grace, on a deeper level where strongholds have a firm grip. An experience not easily forgotten!

Risk is always the first reason for concern when making journeys like this, but nothing could be more enlightening when taking it. Missions is always full of surprises and this trip was overflowing with them. One of the best moments of my life.

I went on a mission trip expecting in some way to help bring God to a dry and desolate land. Instead, I found that he was already there, in all his undiminished glory.

God is in control. He loves His people, even here. He loves them and He’s moving in this place. The beauty and subtlety of God’s presence was powerful, making for an unforgettable trip.

Want to see the world? Go on vacation. Want to see the kingdom of God? Go on missions.

It was a distinct privilege to experience the work that God is doing in Asia. As we collaborated across churches, backgrounds, and personalities, our team was challenged to pursue God’s heart for unity. During the trip, we were able to develop relationships with the locals as well as fieldworkers. As we heard stories of faithfulness, struggle, as well as breakthrough, I was encouraged by the powerful work of God.
